Red Diesel

TFM are registered as a dealer in controlled oils and are able to offer Red Diesel for sale our store.

Red Diesel is used by our agricultural, industrial, commercial, construction and domestic customers in a wide variety of uses from tractors and diggers, excavators and dumpers, space heaters and generators to name but a few.

Red Diesel is know by various different names including some of the following; tractor diesel, tractor fuel, generator diesel, generator fuel, heavy oil, digger diesel, digger fuel, cherry diesel, medium diesel, gas oil, 35 seconds and many more.

Can I run my vehicle on rebated heavy oil (red diesel)?

Only 'excepted vehicles' (Public Notice 75 - Appendix C) can use rebated heavy oil (red diesel) as fuel when used on the public road.

Using rebated heavy oil as road fuel in anything other than an 'excepted vehicle' may render that vehicle liable to seizure. Also, financial penalties may be imposed on the owner/driver of the vehicle.
