We raised £1439.80!!

On Sunday 24th March, we held our first charity tractor road run in aid of The Midlands Air Ambulance, starting and finishing at our Stableford branch.

Wanting to give something back to our customers and support a much loved charity within the agricultural community at the same time, we put plans in place for a vintage tractor road run.

Our initial hopes were to get around forty tractors attending, but on a gloriously sunny Shropshire day, 95 tractors turned out to support the event, raising £1439.80 for The Midlands Air Ambulance.

Starting at TFM, Stableford, the 21 mile route took the convoy of tractors through several of the local villages and surrounding  countryside, zigzagging the Shropshire Staffordshire border. The tractors arrived at the Pigott Arms in Pattingham around midday and with a good turnout of spectators and supporters everybody enjoyed lunch in the sunshine before completing the final leg of the journey. All 95 tractors made it back to finish line at Stableford, albeit on tow in a couple of cases!

Special thanks go to Mike and Sarah’s Butchers and Catherines Bakery in Bridgnorth and the Pigott Arms in Pattingham  for their generosity in keeping all tractor drivers fed and watered. Not forgetting a huge thank you to all tractor drivers and spectators for making it such a successful and memorable day.
