If you work in construction, you know that where you buy your materials matters.
Whether you’re on a tight deadline, juggling multiple jobs, or just trying to get a decent finish without cutting corners, you need products you can trust and a supplier that understands how your job works in the real world.
That’s where we come in.
At TFM, we’ve built our reputation by supporting builders, contractors and tradespeople day in, day out, while making sure homeowners and DIYers can get hold of the same quality products without jumping through hoops. From large commercial jobs to smaller domestic projects, we’re here to make sourcing materials simpler, quicker and more reliable.

A lot of our customers are professional builders. They come to us because they know they’ll find dependable gear, familiar brands and people who understand what they’re asking for. They don’t want gimmicks or guesswork – they need materials that work first time.
At the same time, we don’t believe quality should be locked behind trade-only counters. Plenty of our customers are homeowners, renovators or hands-on DIYers who want to do things properly. If you’re laying a patio, fixing fencing, building a shed or tackling a bigger home improvement project, you’ll find the same products the trade uses, ready to go.
This balance is important to us, and we make sure the in-store experience and advice we offer is straightforward and approachable for everyone.

When it comes to construction and building supplies, reliability wins every time. That’s why we focus on brands that builders already know and trust – the kind of products you’re happy to use again and again because they do exactly what they’re supposed to.
Across our building, DIY and ironmongery range, you’ll find everything from fixings, sealants and treatments through to power and hand tools, lubricants, aggregates, ironmongery, adhesives, coatings, maintenance products and general site essentials – all at our straightforward low prices.
It’s not about having the biggest range for the sake of it. It’s about having the right range – products that professionals are happy to use on paying jobs, and that DIY customers can rely on to deliver a proper finish.
One thing our trade customers tell us all the time is how much they value being able to get what they need in one stop. Running between multiple suppliers costs time, fuel and patience, especially when you’re halfway through a job and realise you’re missing something small but essential.
We’ve worked hard to make sure our stores are properly stocked with the everyday items you reach for regularly, as well as the heavier materials and specialist bits that can slow a job down if they’re not readily available.
For domestic customers, that same convenience applies. You don’t need to know exact product codes or trade jargon – just tell us what you’re working on, and we’ll help you find what you need to get the job done.
Some things just aren’t practical to collect yourself, especially when you’re dealing with heavier or bulkier materials. We offer local delivery within a 15-mile radius of our stores, subject to availability, which is particularly useful for building materials and larger orders.
In cases where local delivery isn’t possible, we can often arrange direct delivery from our suppliers. If you’ve got something specific in mind or a larger order to organise, just get in touch with the team and we’ll do our best to help.
One of the biggest differences between us and big-box retailers is the people on the shop floor. Our teams aren’t just there to point at shelves – they know the products, understand how they’re used, and can offer practical advice when you need it.
Builders appreciate being able to have a straight conversation with someone who gets the job. DIY customers appreciate having things explained clearly without being made to feel out of their depth. Either way, the aim is the same; to help you leave with the right product for what you’re trying to do.
If you’re looking for a place that understands construction from the ground up, we’re here to help.
